Kindergarten Trip to Eleouthkia
On Monday 3rd April 2017 at 9am, ISOP’s Kindergarten children started their adventure, got on a big coach and went to Eleouthkia Botanical Park which is situated in Anarita village near Paphos Airport. On their arrival, Mr Fotis welcomed the young visitors and gave them a guided tour of the facility. The children saw flowers of many different colours, learnt interesting facts about olive trees, smelled different types of blossoms and explored the park. They walked through the mini-forest, across the bridge and all around the beautiful and shady paths.
After their tour of the gardens, the children were invited to watch how traditional “Loukoumades” or “Honey Balls” are made. Mr Fotis told the children the ingredients used to make this delicious traditional Cypriot sweet and they watched the Chef cook them and soak them in syrup. Finally, Kindergarten got to taste and eat the “Loukoumades” for dessert, as a part of the delicious lunch they were served.
The children looked lovely in their ISOP T-shirts. They were very well-behaved and enjoyed their excursion. Bravo to our Kindergarten teachers and their young pupils!
